Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are an equity focused school that strives to build an environment that our children thrive in. Our student makeup is mostly Hispanic and African American and I want to create a classroom that my students see themselves in. Having the equity books in my classroom will allow my students to see themselves in their classroom. These books
will help my students engage in important discussions regarding culture and self love.
I would love to have these resources in my social studies classroom and use our time to elicit moments of pride!
