This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are energetic and curious eighth graders who thrive on hands-on learning. Many are newcomers and English learners who bring diverse experiences and perspectives to our classroom. They are eager to explore the world of science but often lack access to essential resources. Creating a safe and professional lab environment will help them confidently engage in meaningful investigations.

To ensure a safe and engaging science classroom, I am requesting lab coats, safety goggles, and clipboards.

These tools are critical for conducting experiments safely and effectively. Lab coats and goggles will not only protect students but also allow them to feel like real scientists. Clipboards will provide an organized way for students to collect and analyze data during experiments.

In our classroom, students work on activities that align with real-world science, from studying energy transformations to investigating motion and forces. Proper equipment will enhance these experiences by fostering responsibility, building confidence, and emphasizing the importance of safety.

Safety is a fundamental part of any science lab. For many of my students, this is their first chance to experience science through hands-on investigations. By providing the right equipment, I can create a safe space where they can ask questions, experiment, and take pride in their learning.
