Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hardworking, multilingual learners who strive to succeed across all subjects. Many of them are building academic vocabulary in both English and Spanish while also tackling challenging content across the curriculum. I love their determination and how they support one another as they grow. They bring diverse perspectives, resilience, and a genuine desire to learn into the classroom every day.

This project will help bridge language gaps and promote academic confidence.

By providing Spanish-English dictionaries, my students will be better equipped to understand complex texts, participate in discussions, and build stronger reading and writing skills. These dictionaries will serve as daily tools—not just in English class, but across science, social studies, and other subjects—helping students become more independent, capable learners.

My goal is to create a classroom environment where every student has the support and resources they need to thrive. These dictionaries are a small but powerful step in giving bilingual students equal access to learning and helping them succeed academically and personally.
