Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first-grade students are thoughtful, curious, and risk-takers. They are mini-adults that speak their minds and have hearts of gold. They are the sun and the moon to our parents, and as such, I feel privileged to know them. They know that learning opens doors to opportunities in the future. With this in mind, they are learning to advocate for themselves and explore their passions to prepare themselves for tomorrow. They know who they are and know that they can rise to meet and exceed anyone's expectations! I am grateful to have them in my class.

My Project

Our class needs these products to help our students learn. The laminating machine and pouches help maintain our students' materials throughout the school year. Math tools will help our students work with base ten and add on to larger numbers. Reusable write-and-wipe pockets and white board erasers will help students practice their learning in small groups at a more independent level. Crayons always come in handy for art projects and during writing as they sketch their stories out, beginning, middle, and end. Stickers are a must as they serve as motivation for our students for successfully completing assignments or simply showing great citizenship while playing out in the yard.
