My Students

My students are from a high-poverty area of Arkansas in the Mississippi Delta.

Despite this being a lower economic area, we are fortunate enough to be moving into a new high school in the fall of 2018.

I would like to have new kitchen equipment and utensils to use in our brand new kitchens.

My students need to see the latest in kitchen equipment and utensils to learn what is available to them, so they will be able to make wise decisions in the future when they outfit their own kitchens.

My Project

Many of my students are from low-income families. We are fortunate to be moving into a new high school in the fall of 2018. I would love to equip our new kitchens with new equipment.

When students have the opportunity to work with quality equipment and supplies, it encourages them to take pride in their facilities and in their work in those facilities.

It is important that students understand the economics of the kitchen and cooking as well as the food itself. If our new kitchens are filled with quality utensils and equipment, students will take pride in their surroundings and it will reflect on their work and their attitude toward the work they are asked to do.
