Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear generous supporters,

As a new member of my school community, I am dreaming big about how to co-create a thriving and dynamic arts space and curriculum with my students.

To build out an engaging arts program, I foremost need your support in acquiring essential supplies that enhance organization and storage in our space. Your donation will directly contribute to the transformation of our art room into a functional and inspiring haven for artistic expression, both for my visual arts students and the thriving after-school arts club.

Funding this project will make possible:

Organization and storage supplies: We need basic organizational supplies such as storage bins, shelving units, and art caddies. These supplies will not only declutter the space but also make supplies easily accessible for students, fostering independence and a sense of collective ownership.

Creating joyful spaces for learning: By funding this project, you will help me bring a reading nook, zine library, new colorful lighting, carpeting, and an essential oil diffuser into our room to help create a calm and creative oasis for learning.

Dynamic art-making supplies: I'm seeking art-making materials that will fuel a hands-on, engaging curriculum. Your contribution will enable us to acquire a diverse range of materials such as felt for soft sculpture, weaving tools, indigo dye, and other exciting and less traditional materials. With the right resources, we can introduce innovative projects that emphasize experimentation and multimodal, collaborative learning.
