Help me give my students high leverage board games to take the stress out of, and put the fun into reviewing for the AP Environmental Science exam in May!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a public NYC high school in the Two Bridges neighborhood. Our students come from all over the city-- stretching from as far as the North Bronx and Far Rockaway. We provide students with authentic learning experiences that empower them with the skills to contribute to their communities and succeed in college and career. By constantly applying what they learn in the classroom and industry, students will develop the confidence to pursue their dreams and the character to serve their communities.
My Project
My AP Environmental Science students are an amazing bunch, and we want to make reviewing for our May exam more exciting! After the exam, for their final projects, students will be designing a board game about a topic they have learned about this year.
We need to purchase some reference games-- ones that will help us review for the exam, cover differing material, require different strategies for play, can be cooperative or competitive, and are fun!
These materials will continue to be used in our game room club, for students in other classes, as well as remain in the classroom for years to come.
