Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Chavez High School students are hard-working students whose families care a lot about their success. They come from low socio-economic backgrounds, with almost every student qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. Over ninety percent are Hispanic, and many of them will be the first person in their family to graduate from college.

Education develops our greatest abilities because in each of us there is a dream which when fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation.

I want to give our students the resources they need to keep them learning.

My Project

These materials will help my students' privacy stay locked as the shredder will help me be able to shred any valuable information. It can be concerning as a student sees us as a reliable person and with this shredder it makes a student feel more at ease. The other materials will be incentives for a few students that do well in class. Many have little children at home and some have babies of their own. This opportunity will help encourage them to do better in school. Anything will be very appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
