Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a dedicated educator at an equity-focused school, I am passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Many of my students face challenges outside of the classroom that impact their ability to focus and succeed in school. To address this, I am requesting personal care and hygiene materials that will help them feel comfortable and confident throughout the school day.
This project will provide essential items such as deodorant, feminine napkins, lip balm, tissues, and band-aids.
These products will be discreetly distributed, ensuring that students have access to the care they need without feeling embarrassed or singled out. By having these items readily available, we can help students maintain their hygiene, which is crucial for their overall well-being and self-esteem.
In addition to hygiene products, the inclusion of pencil pouches ensures that students have the necessary tools for learning, further reducing any barriers to their academic success. This project will not only meet their immediate needs but also promote a sense of dignity and respect among our students.
