Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Science and math is so important to our children these days and our students are very limited in the amount of information they are able to obtain. Time for Kids opens up the world to these kids and provides them with new and exciting information for learning.

Our students live in a rural area in California.

Most families live below poverty level. We are a small, wonderful community with families who believe in a good education for all kids, but just don't have the resources to buy a lot of extra thing besides the basic supplies needed for school. Time for Kids is one of those extra things that we would like, but just can't afford.

My Project

We are hoping to get Time for Kids magazine to help boost our science and math curriculum. It is so full of wonderful and exciting information that our students only find out about by reading Time for Kids. There are stories about every thing from seasons of an apple tree, to ways of saving animals in the world, and to life in space. There are graphs, charts, tallies, and timelines to be studies. Plus, Time for Kids just help students become better and more engaged readers. The pictures are beautiful and the articles are so interesting. The articles really make the students think about events of the world. We hope that someone will help our classes through their generous donation.

Please help our first grade students boost their knowledge in Science and Math by providing them with a subscription of Time for Kids.

Most first graders in our school are unable to afford a subscription to Time for Kids and would not be able to experience the wonders of our world. I hope that will not be the case and we are able to provide this exciting magazine to these first graders.
