My Project

I teach reading intervention to 38 enthusiastic, hardworking kindergarten through third-grade students. While my curriculum is explicit and structured, I enjoy bringing new and exciting tools and supplies to keep the students engaged and enriched.

When I make learning engaging and fun, my students are more willing to participate and take risks.

I recently received a few LCD writing tablets from a DonorsChoose project to use with my small groups, and my students absolutely love them. With this project, I will provide each class in the grade level six boards so they can use them with their small groups. The sit spots and markers will also be shared with the kindergarten grade level so the students can write on their whiteboards more effectively and be easier for them to find their spots on the carpet.

The lamp will bring natural light into the classroom, which is great for their brains and eyes. With the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I will be able to purchase more engaging curricular resources, and the stickers will be used as incentives when my students reach their weekly goals. All of these supplies will continue to keep our learning environment welcoming and exciting.
