My Project

I am requesting essential resources to create an engaging, culturally rich Mandarin classroom for my students. These materials will help enhance language acquisition, organization, and cultural appreciation.

These resources include a portable language translator, a file organizer, a Chinese checkers board game, books about Chinese culture, Chinese flashcards, wall charts, and Chinese word seek puzzles.

The file organizer will keep flashcards, worksheets, and materials organized for easy access, supporting smooth and efficient lessons. The Chinese flashcards, wall charts, and word seek puzzles will reinforce students' vocabulary by providing interactive ways to practice and enjoy learning. The portable language translator device offers real-time translation, assisting both Mandarin learners and English language learners in practical language use.

To deepen cultural understanding, I am requesting multiple books about Chinese culture, such as "American Born Chinese", "Nian, The Chinese New Year Dragon", "Nick's New Year", and more. These stories offer cultural insights, making Mandarin more relevant and accessible. Additionally, the Chinese checkers game will provide a way for students to experience a traditional Chinese board game that is part of many Chinese's childhood.

With these tools, students can explore Mandarin through interactive and culturally relevant resources, creating a more dynamic and supportive learning environment. Thank you for considering my project!
