My Project

Many of my students are entering a preschool school setting for the first time in their young lives. Transitioning from home to school can be a scary thing to navigate with so many new faces and new surroundings. A classroom that lacks organization and adequate materials only frustrates students making the task of figuring out when to do what and where, all the more overwhelming for them.

Conversely, when a classroom is well-organized and equipped with suitable materials, young learners experience tremendous joy by being able to regulate themselves and make connections and distinctions about their new learning environment as it relates to the flow and function of their school day.

I am requesting a carpet, a student writing desk, a dollhouse and book display.

The donations you make to this project will not only enrich and beautify their classroom environment but will also help these young learners to develop their communication and writing skills which will increase their independence and confidence as they understand, navigate and meet the expectations of preschool. The skillset that these items will foster will help my students in the classroom and beyond!
