Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have non-English speaking scholars eager to learn the English language. My students speak Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Bengali and Arabic and arrive to school every day excited about learning English. I like to provide my students printed resources to help them with speaking, reading and writing. The prints will be kept in sheet protectors attached to the folders. Print outs can include colors with names, the alphabet chart, the 5 senses and much more.

The goal of this project is to give students the confidence to communicate and work independently.

The folders are a great way to store the resources neatly when traveling to and from school or class to class. My class is a safe environment for my ELL's to communicate because I have the resources in my room, but they are not always with me so providing them the opportunity to use the resources when I'm not around will benefit them anywhere.
