My Project
Dear Donors, I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Miss Murphy, and I am a seventh-grade teacher in Everett. I am writing to express my enthusiasm for a project that I believe will significantly benefit my students' education: the creation of a word wall using an easel whiteboard.
As an educator, I am constantly exploring new ways to engage my students and enhance their learning experiences.
One area that I am particularly passionate about is vocabulary development. Research consistently shows that a strong vocabulary is crucial for academic success across all subjects. However, memorizing words from a list can be challenging and often ineffective for many students.
A word wall serves as a dynamic tool that transforms the learning process by making vocabulary visible and interactive. Unlike traditional methods, such as flashcards or worksheets, a word wall encourages constant exposure to words in context. It fosters connections between words and concepts, promotes active engagement, and reinforces retention through visual reinforcement.
The reason I am reaching out to you today is to request your support in acquiring an easel whiteboard specifically dedicated to this purpose. This versatile tool will allow me to create and maintain a vibrant word wall that can be easily updated and customized to suit the evolving needs of my students throughout the school year.
