Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When you were a child do you remember wanting and not having the proper tools to reach your dreams? These resources will help create an atmosphere of excitement and an eagerness to learn more than ever thought possible.

Many of my students are very poverty-stricken students.

Most of my students do not have many resources in their homes to help them explore the world around them. My students have little knowledge of anything outside of their city. Quite a few of them don't even have a computer or even a television set. I have found the students get so motivated and excited when learning from the computer.

My Project

The resources I requested are an LCD projector that will enhance my classroom. The projector will make it possible to teach from a large screen instead of a small computer. Our school has invested in sites that demand computer time. I've also asked for a tablet that will make it possible for smaller group instruction. I've requested a microscope that will be used to develop their interest in Science, and the world around them. I've also requested several educational DVDs such as Leap Frog. The entire Leap Frog series excites the students and promotes a great learning environment. These resources I've requested will help enhance the most optimal learning environment. I appreciate your consideration. Thank you.
