My Students

We have a preschool program on my campus in its second year and need ongoing consumable and essential materials to provide a quality classroom experience.

This inclusive preschool program is called ETK/PCC, which stands for Expanded Transitional Kindergarten/Preschool Collaborative Classroom.

It includes eight students with disabilities and sixteen students without disabilities. This is an innovative preschool model where students with special needs learn, play, and grow alongside their typically-developing peers. Research has shown time and time again that these inclusive classrooms are beneficial to both students with and without disabilities, while building a culture of compassion, acceptance, and friendships without boundaries.

We are a Title l school, a term that many may have heard about but may not fully understand. Title l is the nation's oldest and largest federally funded program that provides funds to at-risk students living at or near poverty. Title l aims to bridge the gap between low-income students and others students. While my school has benefitted from Title l funds, many other needs go unmet, and we need additional support.

My Project

Our ETK/PCC program has an ongoing need throughout the school year for "consumables" that are used by students and need to be replaced or replenished including toys/prizes, clear storage containers for materials they frequently use and can easily access (such as art supplies, building blocks, and toys), and laminating supplies to preserve pictures and work samples.

We have a need for many small, consumable items that make a huge difference in the effectiveness of our program.

These items are particularly helpful with classroom management and creating an organized and inviting learning environment.

Specifically, I am asking for Treasure Chest car toys help motivate young learners to learn and follow classroom and school rules. Laminated pouches for color pictures and name tags for environmental words/labels, secured around the classroom with Velcro, will help create a literacy-rich classroom environment. The single-line white boards will help children learn to form lines and letters as they learn to write their names.
