Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very special 3rd graders in a high needs area of a borough in New York. Many of my students are English language learners, and some with special needs. Each student is unique in his or her own way and deserves to have the best educational experience possible. All of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch and come to school every day eager to learn.

In the classroom, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

Technology allows for students to have other entry points of learning. With the use of technology, my students will be able to bring their work to life through digital recordings and presentations. Technology can also help bridge the gap for students who struggle with learning by providing tools that will allow them the possibility to access learning with less obstacles.

My students can benefit from gaining access to technology to enhance their learning.

With the use of iPads, students can work individually or in cooperative groups to improve literacy skills, create eBooks or presentations that demonstrate their learning, and even to help problem solve mathematical problems. Please help me to obtain two iPads for my classroom!
