My Project

As an educator who teaches Media & Communications, I am constantly seeking ways to improve my skills to better guide my students in creating high-quality projects. With seamless photography paper and sturdy backdrop stands, I will have the tools to practice professional techniques like setting up clean backgrounds, controlling lighting, and creating visually appealing compositions. These skills will directly translate into how I teach my students to produce polished video announcements, senior spotlights, and journalism content for our school website and morning news program.

My students take on creative projects that require professional setups, such as recording interviews with teachers, filming daily announcements, and photographing seniors and athletes for spotlight features on our school website.

For example, last month, my class worked on a video interview series with new staff members. While they did a great job, they struggled to achieve a professional look due to the lack of proper backdrops and setup knowledge. By using these tools for my own professional development, I can better teach students how to create polished visuals and prepare them for creative careers in media, journalism, or content creation.

In addition, I’ll use the backdrop stands and seamless paper to model techniques like controlling shadows and highlights, understanding color theory with backgrounds, and creating a cohesive visual story. These practical skills will give my students an edge in both their academic projects and future endeavors.
