My Project

This grant proposal seeks funding to acquire essential math manipulatives and technology resources to support the learning needs of third through sixth-grade students with mild to moderate learning disabilities in a special education classroom. These materials will provide hands-on, interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles, helping students to grasp foundational math concepts and improve literacy skills.

Students with mild to moderate learning disabilities often require specialized instructional materials and methods to access the curriculum effectively.

The requested manipulatives and resources will provide visual and tactile learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles. The materials will allow for repeated practice and reinforcement of key concepts in a fun and engaging manner. They will help organize and visualize learning objectives, promoting self-regulation and independence. Finally, they will ensure that IEP records are accurately maintained, supporting data-driven instruction and interventions.

Upon receiving the grant, the materials will be integrated into daily instruction as follows:

Place Value Materials: Used during math lessons to teach and reinforce place value concepts.

Multiplication & Division Kit and Dice Activities: Incorporated into math centers and small group instruction to provide targeted practice.

Sight-Words Game: Utilized during literacy centers and interventions to support reading development.

Organization Charts: Displayed in the classroom to highlight daily learning objectives and goals.

Document Scanner: Employed to scan and organize IEP documents, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.

By providing these essential resources, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. Your support will make a significant difference in the educational experiences and outcomes of our special education students at TLE.
