This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My neurodiverse 3rd graders face unique challenges that require specialized resources to thrive. Many of these students struggle with traditional learning methods due to neurodiversity and self-regulation deficits. To support their academic growth and well-being, I am seeking funds for iPads, protective cases, and sensory items. These tools are essential for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to their specific needs.

iPads will offer personalized learning opportunities through interactive apps that engage various learning styles, allowing students to progress at their own pace and receive immediate feedback.

This technology will help students build essential skills in ways that traditional materials often cannot. Protective cases will ensure that the iPads remain durable and accessible, safeguarding our investment and providing consistent access.

Sensory items, including a Think Space calming tent, wobble cushions, and noise-canceling headphones, will address sensory processing challenges by helping students manage their emotions and stay focused. These resources are crucial for creating a comfortable environment where students can concentrate and succeed. Investing in these tools is an investment in our students' future, helping to level the playing field and ensure every child has the opportunity to excel.
