My Project

A document camera is a powerful tool that can greatly enhance interactive reading lessons in the classroom, especially for English Language Learners (ELLs) and other students. A document camera projects books, worksheets, or handwritten notes onto a large screen, ensuring that all students can clearly see the text, regardless of where they sit in the classroom. As a teacher, I can highlight specific words, phrases, or sentences as they read, drawing attention to important aspects of the text, such as phonics patterns, vocabulary, or comprehension strategies. I can also read aloud while displaying the text for students to follow along. This promotes engagement and helps students connect spoken and written words. By projecting the text, teachers can model fluent reading, pointing out punctuation, intonation, and expression, making it easier for students to grasp these concepts in real-time.
