Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This past year, as a first-year teacher, I have observed that students often struggle to grasp new concepts on the first try. When I ask them to recall information I have taught, it is often not readily available to them. Having anchor charts and a projector screen will provide essential reference points for students to revisit what we have learned. This is particularly important in subjects like math, where they need to continually learn new equations and theorems. With these visual aids, students will have constant reminders of the material, which will significantly improve their retention and understanding.

Every student is unique, and I cannot expect them all to learn in the same way.

Immediate memorization and comprehension are uncommon, and many of my students rely on seeing the information multiple times. By integrating these visual aids into the classroom, I can better support the diverse learning needs of all my students.

As the new year approaches, I eagerly anticipate welcoming my new students. I am committed to being well-prepared and ready to accommodate their individual needs, ensuring that they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive in their learning journey.
