My Students

My students live in a low socioeconomic community. Most of them receive free or reduced-price lunch . My students attend a Title I school in Miami, FL. They also have little support from home. Many of them are being raised in single parent households. These students are in great of technology equipment and schools supplies to assist them with distance learning.

My Project

The technology equipment that I am requesting will increase students' engagement in class. The laptop will be used to help students' complete their online reading i-Ready lessons. The technology equipment and school supplies will change our reading program structure and raise students' achievement level in reading comprehension. My main goal is to target students' weaknesses in phonics as well in comprehension. By having access to this technology equipment, my students will begin to show growth during differentiated instruction, and weekly assessment. The objective is to create a classroom environment where every child can use various way of learning to achieve success. I strongly believe that if students are equipped with the appropriate tools, they have a better chance to be more productive in their learning and be successful. I am in need of your support to make this amazing dream become a reality!
