Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work for a Title I school Pre-K-12. All of our students come from different economic backgrounds and have different needs. As nurses, we strive to provide care through assessment, interventions and providing ongoing care on a daily basis. Our team oversees the physical health of students and helps identify emotional and social problems. Your contributions would help greatly to keep students healthy and thriving in school. I will be able to provide immediate care to all students. I am also a teacher and want to provide rewards for their stellar efforts in completing assignments and classroom expectations. Providing underwear to students when they have accidents greatly helps our students. A heating pad is needed for our adolescents with cramps and band-aids for minor cuts. It is also getting cold out and students need lip balm. Peppermint candies greatly help students with upset stomachs. Providing students in my classroom with stress balls will help them with concentrating on assignments. I also encourage my students to write in journals about their feelings so they have an outlet. I have group projects in which we use the big notepads and markers for presentations in class. I am also a believer in rewarding students and chips and candy will allow me to provide that reward for all of their hard work and dedication.
