My Project

I have the privilege of teaching and working with awesome pre-kindergarten students. Most are at-risk of developmental delays due to lack of early learning experiences. I teach in a Title I school where most students served are from low-income families. My pre-k students are amazing and deserve to have experiences that will foster their educational and developmental growth! The Scholastic News weekly reader magazines will provide my pre-k students with skills for literacy, math, science, social studies and so much more. Having access to these magazines in our classroom will enhance their 21st century awareness while collaborating and experiencing the discovery of real-world experiences through real life animals, people, and children around the world just like them.

Fostering student growth with experiences beyond our classroom are very important for each student's learning and development.

My students are very limited in their social experiences due their developmental needs and low-economic family status and the lingering effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Scholastic News magazine will give them more experiences right from our classroom. Experiences they will take with them as they grow and develop.
