This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach student on the alternate curriculum with different and unique disabilities. My students are enthusiastic and always eager to learn. However, learning for my students looks different than it does for typical students. The students in my class have high sensory needs and require more hands-on learning in order to be successful.

My Project

Our students on the alternate curriculum are bright and have the ability to learn to read, write, and do math like their typical peers.

However, they need more support and help! Our students use their 5 senses to learn. Our students need manipulatives and hands on learning materials to be able to fully understand a lesson. We do all we can to support our students; however, sometimes, materials provided at school are simply not enough. We ask you to help us enhance the learning of our students and prolong their academic success. You can help us enhance and enable special education learning!
