My Students
I get excited when I can transmit my passion and joy for learning to the students as I feel this is the most important part of my job: cultivating the love for learning in them.
Hi my name is Annamarie and I am a pre kindergarten teacher!
I love kids and with 15 years of experience as a teacher. I LOVE teaching the little ones, they are soooo eager to learn and they are like little sponges taking in ALL the information.
I work in a Title 1 school, which means my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. My students are eager to learn, and I try my BEST to make school as fun and interesting so that they learn to love coming to school and learning.
My Project
For the past 3 yrs. teaching pre-kinder, I have seen a decline in supplies and materials provided by our school district to enhance our students current needs. Our kids need to be exposed to STEAM to develop both problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
There is also, a HUGE need for centers that are multi-purpose meaning a center that teaches letter recognition, shapes, colors or numbers, while using fine motor skills.
Fine motor skills are the ability to make movements using the small muscles in our hands, wrists and fingers (which are important when learning to hold a pencil and writing). Kids rely on these skills to do key tasks in school and in everyday life.
Please help me be able to have my my little students experience new things that will spark their curiosity for learning and help them develop a LOVE for school.
