This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am excited about the prospects of technology in the classroom and my students deserve to have access to the type of technology that can make a difference in their lives. I am trying to be their hope and encourage their dreams but I need your help. Thank you!

My students are wonderful and troubled, they want to dream but have been burned and so choose to be cautious.

They are predominantly Special education, English language learners who come from a low socioeconomic background. They may choose education and a positive way of life, or the way of gangs. It is that important that we reach them and renew their hope in adults and education. If you knew my students you would want to help them and they would realize that not everyone has given up on them.

My Project

With a LCD projector I can give a PowerPoint presentation on literary elements in a story with visuals that are proven to improve retention for English language learners. I can show video clips of Darth Vader demonstrating the Pythagorean Theorem and really get their attention. We can use Google Earth to zoom in to a place half way around the world, when most of these students have never seen the farther side of their county.

We would really appreciate anything you can do to help us reach our goal.

My students will be forever grateful and you WILL be changing lives. Thanks for caring!
