Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Autism Classroom with non-verbal students desires language and sensory materials. My classroom is at an elementary school. I have anywhere from kindergarten to 5th graders. It changes as the community changes. I am in a high risk, low-income school. I service several different schools in my classroom, it is filled with students who have Autism. Only a few schools have a program such as mine to cater to the needs of students with Autism.

This year I have several students who are non-verbal with high-sensory needs. My students would greatly benefit from the products ordered. To achieve greatness, I am teaching my students to be self soothing in their "stemming" behaviors and increase basic language.

With the requested products my students can succeed. Giving the literary pictures and hands on activities are what students with Autism need. They are very visual learners. They also need fun sensory toys to help them keep up their desire to work and to keep their self stemming behaviors at bay. It will help the students appear at a non-disabled level if they can control their stemming behaviors.

With your help, I can help my classroom succeed. There is no cause for Autism and no cure. With the love & care I give my students they can sprout, but they will only blossom with extra assistance.
