Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of them are immigrants or children of immigrants. Our classroom feels more like a family where we melt together in our love of learning.
Despite all the odds stacked against them, my students work hard and aspire to achieve great things in life.
I aim to give them every resource available to help them reach their goals! They often don't have the resources they need at home, so school is the place where they can be completely taken care of.
My Project
Our school is working toward becoming a STEAM certified school. We are teaching our students how to be problem solvers through the engineering design process. These kits are so good at teaching the kids how to engineer in a fun and literacy centered way.
The kits start out with a fun and engaging book that has a problem, students then have to work on finding a solution to the problem.
They work step by step through the engineering design process to help the character solve the problem. The kids are always so excited to get to the final product and show their solutions.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
