My Project

My superstar environmentalist 2nd grade students have started a Green Team!

They educate their younger classmates about the environmental impact that we have at school, and want to put their engineering minds to work to create scientific solutions to the problems that we face in the future. The first project that we have in mind is to "green-ify" the courtyard--we will design planters, print them, and work with younger grades to plant herbs and flowers for our school community to enjoy. A huge plus: the filament for the printer is made of cornstarch, not plastic, and is biodegradable! This 3d printer can be used for years to come as my students think of innovative solutions to the environmental problems that we face.

By supporting this project, you are helping my students develop their engineering and leadership skills, and giving us a resource that can be used over and over again. Thank you for looking at this project!
