My Students

I am a bilingual speech-language pathologist in a Title I elementary school in a low-income community with a majority of English Language Learners. My students are hard-working, respectful, and eager to learn and grow.

Speech and language therapy gives them the confidence to become more effective communicators and to access the academic curriculum.

My goal is to provide my students with effective speech and language therapy in a blended learning environment.

My Project

This year, I'm working with students with speech and language impairments who are navigating how to succeed during blended learning. Every week my students will be learning part in the classroom and part from home. Typically in the classroom, I engage students with interactive, hands-on activities to promote participation and facilitation of speech and language skills in a fun way.

Since learning will take place in such a unique way this year, it is especially important to acquire high-quality digital resources that can be used to help students learn and grow in and out of the classroom.

Your contribution will help me purchase exciting digital activities that students can interact with at home or in the classroom, such as interactive PDFs, Google Slides, and Boom cards. These resources will help me differentiate and accommodate diverse learning abilities and styles and help my students continue their love for learning!
