Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of our students do not have access to to technology outside of school. To help build their technology skills, we need a Chromebook for students to use to access email, research, and create digital projects.

Our school receives Title 1 funding, which means the majority of our students are eligible for free lunch.

Our school supports our students by teaching college and career skills. An essential skill for college and beyond is being proficient with technology. In order to help students develop their technology skills, they need to have access to that technology.

My Project

Our students will use the Chromebook for a variety of projects. For English class, they will write and revise essays. They will also use Google Drive to complete peer editing. We also want students to practice typing skills so they are prepared for typing college papers. In addition, we complete many research projects, and having a Chromebook will allow students to access more resources.

Students get excited when they get to use technology.

Getting students excited about learning is the first step to help them develop their skills. This project will help students find an interest in writing, editing and researching.
