Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Whether they admit it or not middle schoolers love games. In order to keep my students engaged in learning, I frequently use computer games, board games, and even physical games like shooting hoops. Educational research supports the use of gamifying learning, and with the use of these materials students will be able assess their understanding with their peers all while playing a game!

Additionally, research highlights the Social Emotional benefits associated with students playing games with one another.

All of the requested materials will be used for interactive games that students can play in groups. From Jenga, to "Color Dot Checks," to "Where in the world is Ms. Gancarz," students will have the opportunity to check their understanding in a fun, interactive, gamified way!
