My Students
First grade is such a fundamental year for students! I teach 23 6 and 7-year-old students! They are such excited learners! We have such a diverse class of learners! We have students working on reading A-level books to students reading M leveled books. We strive to keep them interested and goal-oriented no matter where they are at in their learning.
Our favorite saying in our class is, "It's okay to not know, but it is not okay to not try." Students love to celebrate with each other on all their accomplishments and encourage each other on the way to their goals.
My Project
First grade is a HUGE year for learning. They build the foundation of the skills they will use for life. One way we build the foundation is by doing stations and hands on activities. Each day we do literacy stations and then math stations. This helps the students explore our learning while being engaged and having fun!
We are in need of tools to help the students reinforce the skills we are teaching.
These tools would be used during whole group demonstration and during small group instruction. Help me provide my students will these resources! Thank you!
