My Students

My students are a sweet group of first graders who come from many different countries including nations in Africa, Palestine, Iraq, Brazil, Vietnam, China, Japan, the Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Cote D'Ivoire, Lebanon, Spain, Peru, Angola and the Dominican Republic.

They are an excited and eager bunch! A portion of my students qualify for refugee status and coming to America has been exciting and overwhelming as they adapt and learn the language and customs. Many are first-generation English speakers.

My Project

Gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers would help my students by providing supplemental learning resources for my students such as reading, language arts, science and math interactive notebook pages that will allow my students to experience core content in an interesting, engaging and fun way.

Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards would allow me to purchase teacher created products such as Boom Cards and content from my district's newly purchased reading adoption HMH Into Reading from my favorite teachers, such as Reagan Tunstall, Deanna Jump, Ms. Bee's Hive and The Moffatt Girls.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
