Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am excited to initiate a project that aims to enhance the recess experience for our second grade students. Recess isn’t just about play; it’s a crucial time for social development, physical activity, and imaginative exploration.
Project Needs:
Playground Equipment: We are seeking durable, safe, and engaging playground equipment suitable for second grade. This includes items like colorful balls, jump ropes, and frisbees that encourage active play and teamwork.
Project Impact:
By enriching our recess environment, we aim to achieve the following goals:
Physical Health: Encouraging active play promotes physical fitness and healthy habits among our students.
Social Development: Team-based games and collaborative activities foster social skills like communication, cooperation, and empathy.
Academic Engagement: Integrating educational games and outdoor learning stations keeps students engaged and excited about learning beyond the classroom.
