Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of interested learners. They have a variety of backgrounds and experiences that they enjoy sharing with their peers. These students are excited about animals, how things work and what different parts of the world are like.

My Project

These books will be used by students daily at home as they practice comprehending and making inferences using non-fiction texts. All students in our school are learning remotely so far this year, and we do not know for how long this will continue. Students do not all have books at their reading levels at home. In addition, students have had to access articles and books online. This project will provide students with real books to hold in their hands, to read, discuss, debate, and from which to draw inferences and information. All students need this.
