Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the teacher of an ESL classroom, it is essential for me to create a learning environment that will be stimulating, engaging, empowering and supportive to my students needs. I want to my students to enjoy school and learning. I want them to come into a classroom that provides multiple options and modes for learning.

Many of my students are English Language Learners.

In fact several of them are recent migrants to the country. It will take time for them to adjust. Donating to my project will help this transition become a little smoother! The floor cushions will be used during teaching and groupings, and will help to keep students engaged. The white board as well will be used for small group activities. The reading material and games will help to build their vocabulary, fluency and reading comprehension. Some materials will be used to help build their math skills.
