I teach at a public charter school. Our students come from diverse backgrounds with different needs. More than 75% of our students come from low socio-economic backgrounds and are on free or reduced-price lunch. Despite their obstacles, my students are full of energy, curiosity and are eager to learn.
Kindergarten is an exciting new adventure for my little ones, they are looking for fun and engaging learning opportunities.
My students are thoughtful, kind, and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on projects and learning new skills. They come to school each day looking for new things to learn. They're little sponges that absorb everything around them. My goal is to provide them a loving environment with a variety of engaging work that will help my littles learn something new every day. They are truly an inspiration to me every day. I want to make sure my littles have everything they need to succeed. (and fly)
My Project
Morning work can be so boring. Worksheet after worksheet is very mundane. Starting the day should be fun and engaging. These supplies will enable my students to come in and share with their peers, use their communication skills and participate in collaborative learning. Supplies like coloring books, play dough, and building blocks are hands-on manipulatives that will allow my students to enjoy the learning while practicing STEM projects. Students need to be challenged and motivated to give their best. They are looking for new and exciting learning opportunities. This Engaging Morning Work will open a whole new world of opportunities for my students.

My students need work that inspires them and allows them to interact with others as they prepare for class. Working with fun manipulatives such as puzzles, stamps and kinetic sand allow for that. These activities will promote teamwork, creativity, and STEM knowledge. This will open a whole new world of learning for them.
