This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If these board and video games (including Connect 4 and the Nintendo Switch with games) are purchased for my students, they will have tools to connect with each other to enhance social communication. We aim to foster a sense of belonging, improve social skills, and encourage positive interactions among students who may struggle to connect in traditional social settings by curating an environment they feel comfortable in.

Students on the spectrum often experience social isolation and loneliness which leads to poor mental health.

The goal of this project is to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging social group for all of our high school students on the autism spectrum.
