Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I began applying the Building Thinking Classroom concept in my classroom and students enjoy working on the whiteboards as it gives them a sense of leadership, teamwork, and risk-taking in their learning. I want to give my students materials needed to do this such as expo markers, magnets to hold their tasks, markers, etc.

Not only do students enjoy showing their work on their big whiteboards with their groups, sometimes they need some independent time to do it on their own.

This is why I would love to provide my students with LCD writing tablets as another tool for them to show their work and they can display it to other students by showing their amazing thinking strategies.

My students will be so thrilled as it will increase the motivation to learn with these new tools! I want to give my students the chance to show their work in various ways rather than just paper and pencil. Help me towards creating an engaging math classroom in which young mathematicians strive all day and every day!
