My Project

I am requesting funding for our first-grade math class at our elementary school. I am seeking support for purchasing portable dry-erase pockets and magnetic ten frames for whole-class use that will enhance our students' learning and engagement in the classroom.

The dry-erase pockets and magnetic ten frames are reusable tools that will allow our students to work out math problems and share their answers with the class.

These materials provide an interactive and hands-on approach to learning and fostering a deeper understanding of first-grade math concepts. These materials encourage active participation from all students and can be used across other subject areas. Dry-erase portable pockets and magnetic ten frames are versatile and valuable tools for building an understanding of math concepts. With the implementation of these materials our first-grade students will have the opportunity to engage in math talks with their peers and will be able to receive immediate feedback on their work from their teacher. These learning tools support our visual and hands-on learners allowing them to feel comfortable making mistakes as these manipulatives are easy to erase and move around.

Meadowlark's first-grade students are hard-working learners who enjoy being at school and learning from one another. These materials allow for peer collaboration and engagement to make learning fun! These tools will set our first graders up for success in not just math, but all subjects.
