My Students

My kindergartners are amazing! We have been in school for just a few months and I cannot believe the progress we have made so far. My students love to learn and are excited about everything! However some have not ever had a chance to engage their minds academically before starting kindergarten. With the supplies I am requesting, such as hands-on number grids, stamps, linking number monkeys, and pipe builders, my students will be able to build basic skills such as number sense, counting, letter sounds, and fine motor skills all while keeping their minds and their hands working.

My Project

Kindergarten is a very fun year as students learn basic skills and have what is sometimes their first school experience. However this can also be a challenge as students come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some students have been in head start and preschool while others have not. These materials such as hands-on number grids, stamps, linking number monkeys, and pipe builders will provide my students with the tools they need in order to build basic skills needed to set them up for success. These materials will help with number sense, counting, sight words, letter sounds, fine motor skills, and much more! Having these materials will make a huge impact in our learning.
