Help me give my students an amazing and diverse collection of graphic novels, like Knots, Bad Sister (and some other new books) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid (a perennial favorite). My students will LOVE these books!

My Project

We love books in our classroom! We read for a half hour every day. Without our independent reading time, my students feel unfulfilled. Books transport us to new worlds and give us new dreams to chase. "A book is a dream you hold in your hand," Neil Gaiman.

"Once upon a time lasts forever," Philip Pullman.

My students need a vibrant, modern, and engaging classroom library. It takes new books to stay excited about reading, and these graphic novels are going to do the trick! There are so many books for my amazing group of 4th and 5th grade readers, including "Shine On, Luz Veliz" and "Uprooted: A Memoir About What Happens When Your Family Moves Back," (both are examples of books with diverse protagonists, written by Own Voices authors) and books from several series: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Bunny vs Monkey, Birtle, and Batcat (my students love reading book series). There are a lot of books in this project; with over 30 books, there has to be something for everyone.

We are on our way to becoming great readers and your support is crucial to that goal. Thank you for considering our project!
