My Project

My students enjoy when I use games to deepen their understanding or to review for upcoming quizzes and tests. The buzzer system, jenga blocks, monopoly, and snacks, will help me to provide and promote more teamwork activities for my US, World History, State History, Civics, Psychology, and Sociology students no matter the class size.

Even students who struggle with attendance, academics, short attention, and communication would find that these games and snacks will allow them to experience a fun learning environment while improving their active listening, problem solving, and collaboration skills.

After working with at-risk students for more than 20 years, I have learned that when students feel connected to their classmates and teacher, they are more likely to overcome their personal challenges. Teamwork is vital not only for at-risk students, but for all students of this generation.
