My Project

I work in an amazing school with students with various educational, physical and emotional needs. Through the use of multiple modes, activities, and modifications our students are able to carry out their daily tasks. I teach 6th-8th grade students who enjoy reading, movement breaks, and learning new information.

I wanted to create a space where the students feel invited to engage in hands on activities, sensory breaks, independent reading times, and a calming space all within the classroom.

All of our students love learning in the classroom and doing hands on activities. The students find favor in learning about current events, animals, and math activities. In addition to academics, we also wanted to create a space in the classroom to make it inviting and uplifting at all times. At times, the students may have sensory overload. The resources will provide a cooling down, interactive, fun setting for the students to feel comfortable at all times.

By providing these materials, you are helping in creating a space that will feel like home and the students will feel welcomed. This will also allow for a recreational space to fun interactive reading sessions.
