My Project

The goals for my project are to make learning in my classroom intentional, engaging, and accessible. Many items on my list are there to give my students different ways of learning. Different ways to access the content and practice their skills.

The phonics activities give students access to hands on learning to focus on the most important skill for first grade.

Students need more than just reading and writing, they need to interact with the sounds they're reading, move their finger across a word to blend it all together. Engaging in activities like these helps create connections to what the students are learning.

With intentional learning comes the need to make changes on the fly. Having a printer in my classroom will allow me to make adjustments to my instructions whether it is for the entire class or for one specific student. Having access to what I need in my room at any given moment allows me to truly focus on what each child in my classroom needs.

Our school headphones do not hold up over time. My students work hard to trouble shoot their problems with the headphones, but it ends up taking away from their learning and the learning of others. Having new and quality headphones will allow my students to use online tools appropriately to learn!
