This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My English language learners have made incredible growth in the last year. They have been able to learn and practice reading skills using reading books in their home language and bilingual books. Now I am proud to say that they are ready to make the switch to English reading books.
With your help I'll be able to provide my students with emergent reading books in English, that will help them become fluent independent readers.
I am asking for 5 different book sets that will help them improve their reading. One set is of Nonfiction books, to help them learn about the world around them and help them become animal experts. The other 4 are Fiction sets that have classic characters and engaging stories. These sets are also leveled so that students can keep track of their reading growth.
